Well-known Ghanaian artiste, Stonebwoy, known in private life as Livingstone Etse Satekla, has broken his silence about an allegation levelled against him after Shatta Wale’s performance at the University of Ghana was cancelled.
On Saturday, June 8, 2024, Shatta Wale was billed to perform at the Reunion Rave Artiste Night at James Topp Nelson Yankah Hall (TF Hostel) of the University of Ghana.
Unfortunately, the show was cancelled.
However, Stonebwoy’s show which was taking place at Liman Hall of the University of Ghana was not cancelled.
This led to Shatta Wale and his fans accusing Stonebwoy of having a hand in the cancellation of the show.
They still had doubts when Wave Africa, the organizers of the event at TF Hostel, confirmed in a statement that the Dean of Students’ office ordered the cancellation of the event that Wale was to perform.
Reacting to this accusation in an interview on Asaase Radio, the ‘Top Skanka’ composer denied it.
He opened up about how surprised he was, adding that the accusation was ridiculous.
Stonebwoy emphasised that he had nothing to do with the cancellation of the event Shatta Wale was to perform at. He further stated that he may have superpowers to do that.
Below is a video of his reaction.
