Stevie Wonder: American singer becomes a Ghanaian citizen after taking the oath of allegiance 

Stevie Wonder is now a Ghanaian

Renowned American singer and songwriter, Stevie Wonder, has taken the oath of allegiance to become a Ghanaian citizen.

He swore the oath of allegiance to officially become a Ghanaian citizen at a ceremony at the Jubilee House on May 13, 2024.

Stevie made a vow to respect and protect the constitution of Ghana while holding a Bible.

Ghana’s President, Nana Akufo-Addo gave him a certificate of citizenship and a Ghanaian passport after taking the oath.

President Akufo-Addo also congratulated Stevie Wonder.

The famous singer was very elated in a video shared online.

Three years ago, Stevie Wonder hinted at his plans to move to Ghana.

Interestingly, he officially became a Ghanaian citizen on his 74th birthday.
