Rex Omar has talked about criticisms targeted at Britain’s Got Talent 2024 following the participation of Ghanaian dancers, Afronita and Abigail Dromo.
After the final of Britain’s Got Talent 2024, Afronita and Abigail were declared 3rd in the final.
Unhappy about this, critics assumed their background as Ghanaians contributed to them not winning the ultimate.
Reacting to this in a social media post, Veteran Ghanaian musician, Rex Omar, told the critics to create Ghana’s Got Talent if they like.
He said critics should know and understand that the show is called Britain’s Got Talent.
Rex, the Board Chairman of Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO), argued that the platform was created to unearth and promote British talents to the globe and not Ghanaian talents.
He added that Ghana will always be lagging behind until attention is paid to the creative economy.
